The goal in this unique Irish Highpointeering challenge is to visit any 25 of Ireland's 187 major geographical High Points within a single Sport Hillwalking season. Each High Point location is worth a single point in this eight-month-long challenge and can only be counted once.
The 25 Irish High Points Challenge also gives participants an opportunity to pursue our annual Irish Highpointeer of the Year award. At the end of the Sport Hillwalking season, the man and woman who log visits to more High Points than anyone else using the Peakhunter app will each receive the Irish Highpointeer of the Year award.
Peakhunter is our official logging partner.
This challenge is hosted exclusively within the Peakhunter platform where every successful challenger earns a digital badge for their Peakhunter profile page. To receive the badge, participating hillwalkers are required to register for this challenge. To register, you must be signed into your Peakhunter account.
