We offer the most diverse range of award categories currently available to Sport Hillwalkers and to the wider Irish walking community.
As the host the official All-Ireland Hillwalking Championships, we issue award certificates to the three highest-scoring men and women and to each member of the three highest scoring teams in each of our three team categories (i.e. clubs, counties and provinces). In each of the three separate Sport Hillwalking disciplines (i.e. Highpointeering, mountaineering and challenge hillwalking), the top-3 performing men and women will each receive a Sport Hillwalking Specialist Award. Individuals who complete any of our High Point challenges or mountain challenges can request a Certificate of Completion during the Sport Hillwalking season. Please note that certain time limits apply to each challenge. Recipients of these awards will also be added to our Completers Register.
Individuals who make outstanding achievements (e.g. setting new records) can claim a Certificate of Excellence. Each Certificate of Excellence bears a Gold award. Recipients of these awards will also be added to our Excellence Register.

Certificates of Completion will only be issued if visits to all locations on a list have been logged using the Peakhunter smartphone app. A Sport Hillwalking Entry Form must also be submitted before the halfway point of the Sport Hillwalking season to claim Certificates of Completion.
