Gribbon sub-list classification(s) Island Gribbon
Special note Tearaght Island is private property owned by the Commissioners of Irish Lights (CIL). Access to the island is strictly forbidden unless approval has been granted by the CIL in advance. The only permitted means of access is by CIL helicopter. The island presents a serious mountaineering challenge which is far beyond the abilities of most hill walkers. For these reasons, High Point Ireland does not encourage Highpointeers to attempt a landing on Tearaght Island. As an alternative, High Point Ireland is willing to accept a full circumnavigation of Tearaght Island by boat as a legitimate "visit" to this Gribbon location. |

There are many occurrences of multiple places in Ireland having the same name. On social media, this can lead to unrelated messages appearing in location-specific search results. In an attempt to overcome this, High Point Ireland has assigned a unique hashtag to each Gribbon location. You can find the list of recommended hashtags here. We encourage you to use these where appropriate on social media.
